Really

I was referred by a colleague to go for eye test and possible spectacles at Just Vision in Bloemfontein because apparently they are quite cheaper then other optometrists. So I went there, gave my medical aid details and got helped. After the test I was asked to look and pick a frame for my new to be made spectacles. The Optometrist and Receptionist was very helpfull and suggested a frame that suited me well. The cost of the package was estimated at R4050.00 and according to the receptionist I qualified for R4000.00 AS CONFIRMED BY MY MEDICAL AID SCHEME so she siad to me I will not pay MUCH in as co-payment.

Now I got an sms telling me I have a co-payment of R1125.00, which to me is MUCH. So I asked the colleague who reffered me how much she paid for her test and spectacles and she said only R700.00 reason being that she dont have medical aid. Now my question is, why must I pay R4050.00 which involve a co-payment of R1125.00 which is more then the whole amount for someone without medical aid.
