Just Juniors Academy - Pathetic and truly disappointing service delivery!

Truly and utterly disappointed at the way this school deals with issues raised; and their poor service delivery has shone throughout this pandemic that we are facing. Marketing itself as the only private school in Phoenix, this is a far cry from private school service delivery while still coughing up private school tuition fees. 1. They have not supported the students by making an attempt at e-learning. 2. Their version of remote learning includes sending poorly reviewed and edited workbook weekly containing at most 5 hours worth of academic work, and most of the time is taken up by colouring (not acceptable for a grade 1 learner!); whatsapp video lesson that does not even amount to 10 minutes of teaching per day. 3. Expecting parents to still pay the full achool fee when not even 50% of service delivery has been met. 4. Threatening parents, who have also been affected by the pandemic (apparently they are blind to the fact that the rest of the community also isn't getting paid if they do not work!) of deregistering their children if the full school fee is not paid. 5. Forcing parents to send their kids back to school when they have clearly not put in adequate COVID19 safety protocols in place..there is no social distancing markings to indicate that there is a 1.5m space between kids in class or during activities, they have no shared their emergency response to COVID19 in case of a positive case, there is no proof of mock drills related to responding to a positive case. 6. Workbooks contain information that states that the educator will send out video lessons yet we get told by the educator that she will not be sending lessons via whatsapp as school is back in session (Is she even reading the workbook?????!) 7. General lack of feedback and timekeeping from an institute that states that learners will be disciplined for poor timekeeping (expected a call from the HOD today 26 August 2020, got feedback the whole day that he HOD is in meetings, informed the school that we are available after hours for the call to which I received no response).

The list really does go on, and this post is in no way meant as a disrespect to educators who are actually going the extra mile to assist learners ans parenrs during this time. Institutions such as Just Juniors Academy has to be called out and exposed for the pure money making schemes that they are as this was clearly seen from the start of the lockdown. To add to that, the principal Vani Chetty seems to not know what is going on in her own school and does not even make a genuine commitment to assist.

Really have had it with this school and it is unfortunate that it took this pandemic to show this school's true colours. Will be considering if there is any way legally that this school can be taken to task. To the parents who have had the sense to get their kids out this school early on, well done to you and I'm sure that your kids must be thriving. To the rest of us, speak up and out about this poor excuse for a school!
