Just Answer is Just a ****!
I was lured in with a low initial cost and then charged an excessive subscription fee. I regard this as a form of bait and switch, which is a deceptive and *****ulent advertising practice. I am highly incensed, as their apparent form was sent under the pretext of a nominal fee. I paid the sum, only to see that they hit me with sn excessive subscription fee. Their chatbot was quick to respond to me that they cannot do anything about it, as I accepted to pay the small fee for a question asked. This is definitely aimed at misleading consumers into purchasing a different, often more expensive, product or service. It's considered dishonest. They did not genuinely intend to provide the low-cost service advertised, but instead used it as a lure to get my banking details and pushed through their high charge. I googled the phenomenon and it definitely described what happened to me. I employed my bankers to dispute the charge but however, cannot hold them accountable to get the funds back. This is what I investigated and came up with. • The Bait: The small initial amount offered is the "bait" – an enticing but insincere offer to attract the customer. • The Switch: Once the customer is engaged, the seller "switches" them to a different, more expensive, or undesirable product or service, in this case, the excessive subscription fee. • The Intent: The seller has no real intention of selling the service at the initial low price. Consequences of Bait and Switch: • *****ulent Activity: It's a deceptive practice that can be ******* and is considered *****ulent. • Consumer Deception: It misleads consumers about the true cost and nature of the service they are agreeing to.
I would strongly advise to not employ their services as they ****med me into paying a service that was NOT explained. In fact, the chatbot advised that for a small fee I could get an answer and quickly submitted their form. Trying to get back into their form to read their fine print, is impossible.
