JUBAWENI REVIEW – BEWARE!

In November 2019 I visited Jubaweni in Limpopo South Africa, together with friends and family. The reservation and administration was dealt with by Nelia Joubert, who I believe is the owner of Jubaweni. My grievances with Jubaweni are as follows: 1. They kept my R3000.00 deposit as breakage deposit without informing me beforehand; 2. I paid for 20 bags of wood, but on arrival I was told that no wood was available and that we can make use of a bundle of soaking wet branches that was close to our accommodation; 3. After our visit, I had to send multiple e-mails and make a couple of phone calls before Nelia got back to me with regard to the refund of my deposit. Jubaweni deducted R550 from my deposit and paid the rest to me without any explanation. On various complaints and queries, I was informed that the deduction was for the 20 bags of wood we ordered. I informed Nelia that although we never received the 20 bags of wood I had already paid for the wood and provided her with the proof. Jubaweni has ignored my demands to refund the rest of my deposit.
