Worst photographer ever! Don't go for him just because he is cheap!

My husband and I hired Juan to be our photographer for our wedding. Weddings are extremely expensive so my husband found a package he was offering for R4500, which would save us a lot. I told my husband I did not want to choose him but my husband hired him anyway because of his cheaper package.

On our wedding day he was an hour late because he went to the wrong wedding even though at the entrance it clearly states where to go. When he finally got to me he came with such an unfriendly attitude, looked uninterested to be there and everything seemed to be such effort even though this is what he was paid to do. He came with a tiny, amateur camera that looked like it cost him R500.

He was supposed to be our main photographer but luckily our videographer came with her photographer and they saw how unprofessional he was and he looked like he had no idea what he was doing so the other photographer took over. He made us copy all the poses the other photographer took so he could make himself look useful. (The other photographer's photos came out amazing so at least we have their's!)

At the end of the wedding he said we would get the photos in 4 weeks. After 6 weeks we received the photos and I can't get over how he thinks they are acceptable. Firstly, all of them show what a poor quality camera he was using - I think my cellphone would have taken better photos. He has no idea how to edit photos, they are all so dark, the complete opposite of what wedding photos should be and the colour is completely off. The only decent ones are in black and white. Half of the photos are missing, all the important ones like the family photos, tables photos, etc.

I cannot describe the feeling I have and now have to look at these photos for the rest of our lives. I do not know how he can all himself a photographer and truly think his photos look good when all they really are is a load of *******!

Photos are a huge part of your wedding, if a photographer is cheap it is probably because he does not know what he is doing. Spend the extra money and don't go cheap.
