Poor Workmanship and Unresponsive Service – Avoid JR’s Electrical Appliances and Repairs

In June 2024, I had my Defy frost-free fridge repaired by JR’s Electrical Appliances and Repairs ***ner: Mr JR McMullin). The fridge continued to malfunction despite repeated visits. Over several months, the technician made various gas adjustments and gave empty promises, but the issue was never resolved.

Two independent assessments (including a Defy-authorised technician) confirmed that an incompatible generic compressor was installed and the valves were not sealed correctly, causing a gas leak. The repair was not done to acceptable standards.

Since then, my calls, texts, and emails have been ignored. I had to pay additional costs to diagnose the damage properly. I do not recommend this service provider due to poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for customer communication.
