JR Southgate Plumbing, Cape Town...owner Russel Southgate. My cistern cracked and I had a flood in the bathroom. After assessing the problem and as my toilet bowl and handbasin were also cracked, I decided to replace these with a new white set. Russel advised to use my floor wall tiles for the entire floor and some for the walls, the rest of the bathroom would be painted. Quote given and accepted and paid. Russel does not to communicate timeously(unless it's for payment), he arrives late on the job.. always an excuse..he doesn't bring his own equipment or tools (used my buckets, mops and sponges to mix cement and grout (still waiting for refund or replacement of my items), to this day I'm still waiting for invoices and a statement of new items purchased for the bathroom, he agreed to send me guarantee of workmanship and I'm still waiting. 3 weeks to "complete" the job.. to sum up, the entire job still needs work which he said he will see to after Christmas. And all this and more while I had a grievously ill bedridden husband! It was all about money and i was stupid to pay him upfront everytime. I even had to give one if his workers travelling money to get home because he didn't arrive on time to pay him. Don't use this company .. unless you have money and time to waste. Disgusted at his service...he should be ashamed to call himself a registered plumber! If is he registered! Wilma Solomon
