Jozi Housing
Please think twice before renting from Jozi Housing. Have been trying to transfer for 2 months. Every month there is an excusr why we couldn't transfer i.e wrong/incomplete information. I complained about the high electricity charges and when I queried this, I was told they would investigate and get back to me. I short paid by R307. 00 after this call as the electricity for taking a shower can not br as high as it is, thinking that they will investigate and bring the rate down. No one EVER got back to me. The room is R1596.00 but we end up paying around R2800.00/month and this after the kitchen electricity was switched off. I share a bathroom with other ladies. 3 families moved out end September which means less showers, yet the electricity remains the same. I was warned about the escalation of costs on a monthly basis by other tennants when we came to view and I thought they were lying.
On Friday my child was assaulted by a male tennant and I requested an immediate transfer as she feels unsafe living next to this man. Again NO feedback from the office on how the situation will be resolved. There is just no communication and no complaint about anything is ever responded to. The bathroom light has been out for almost 2 months and is still not fixed.
Again, think twice. I loved the complex but the high costs and poor service speaks volumes.
I am not at all surprised that people move out at the rate that they do and everyone's reason for leaving is the escalated monthly costs and poor service from staff.
