Total lack of business ethics

<p>I recently purchased a property in the Midrand area and was referred to by the Real Estate agent to Jouberts attorneys as a trusted attorney with several years of experience and easy and efficient people to deal with. Dredding all the paperwork ahead i was assured the process will be as easy as possible.</p> <p>I purchased a property from a Vat registerred buyer so there was no Transfer Duty applicable on sale which was one of the main reasons i purchased the property.</p> <p> </p> <p>All well lawyer appointed and i got to deal with Chantal Gerber from Jouberts Attorneys, upon signing the documents she mentioned the transfer duty to which i corrected her and she then went back to the agent to clarify that no transfer duty was applicable, she came back confirmed all sorted and ammended paperwork accordingly.</p> <p> </p> <p>Weekly updates then followed to state status of registration. Closer to registration i requested a bill of accounts so i could gauge the profit and or costings associated, her response she is working on it will get back to me, this went on for a period of 3weeks just constant excuses.</p> <p> </p> <p>On Registration she sends out an email that the statement of accounts will be sent before the end of the day nothing, two days later i get a deposit into my account and the amount deposited is severly south of the amount i calculated so i contact Chantal who is never available neither does she return calls, after several attempts she will get the statement of accounts to me the next day, i then escalate the issue to my Agent who informs me that she has incorrectly billed me the Transfer Duty which is the same mistake that was made not once and to add insult to injury would of been avoided if she acknowledged a customers simple request.</p> <p> </p> <p>The next day she does not answer my calls and has a colleague Nikola do the talking, the new excuse is the money was paid to SARS and i need to wait for the refund from SARS which they have no clue how long it will take, to which i refuse since this is not my mistake and Jouberts must deal with there issue.</p> <p> </p> <p>I demand a meeting and go through there offices on the 8th of June, the owner of the company comes into the meeting and introduces himself as "Mr Daan Joubert the name behind the door", they apologise for the mistake and "Mr Daan Joubert the name behind the door" mentions he wouldnt be in the room if they werent treating this matter as serious he gives me the option of waiting for my money which is R150k+ and he will pay interest for each day i am out of pocket to which i mention i am not willing as i have budgeted for that money and need to pay accounts etc. he mentions he will look into his trust account and get back to me the next business day which happens to be a Friday.</p> <p> </p> <p>Friday comes no call no emails nothing, Monday nothing, Tuesday nothing</p> <p> </p> <p>so i call Jouberts to find out what is happening and i get the rude Chantal Joubert who was instructed by "Mr Daan Joubert the name behind the door", not to take my calls he will call me himself </p> <p>.... a whole 10days later after i phoned the agent and he called Jouberts money deposited into my account exact amount no interest or anything, no apologies etc </p> <p> </p> <p>A word of advice to anyone planning on buying or selling a property Steer clear from this ********* bunch of people the name behind the door has no basic understanding of customer ethics which clearly flows through the rest of the business, i will make it my duty to expose the lack of service, morals and ethics from this business on every platform i possibly can </p> <p> </p>
