Jouberts Attorneys

Firzt sold my townhouse in Kyalami Hills and recommended Jouberts Attorneys as excellent conveyancers so I appointed them. BIG MISTAKE! The deed of sale was signed on 27 September 2019 and the papers only lodged on 12 December 2019. I was told that the delay was due to the bond attorneys. On 8 January 2020 Jouberts Attorneys confirmed that the transfer had registered in the deeds office. Five minutes later I received another email stating that the documents had in fact been rejected by the deeds office because the CoJ clearance certificate had expired. An extended clearance certificate had to be obtained and the documents re-lodged. Transfer finally went through on 27 January 2020. The unnecessary delay cost me and the buyer! That is not all ... when I received the final account an incorrect amount had been deducted and I was paid R10 000.00 short. No apology. Nothing!! In 20 years of dealing in property I have never encountered such incompetence!
