Joubert Furniture - the worst you can ever buy.

I ordered and paid for a 3 seater couch and 2 chairs from Joubert Furniture on 27 March 2023. The set was delivered on May 5 and that is when our trouble started.

The 3-seater couch is coming apart and no one can sit on it! The area between the right armrest and the seating area of the couch is literally pulling apart. The legs of the couch are only *****ed in 2 places for each leg, however there's room for 6 *****s but because the wood used is so inferior, there is not enough space to actually accommodate any other *****s. The frame was held together by what seems like 2x4 planks and no support for the middle seat.

The workmanship of this couch is absolutely appalling, to the point where it borders on inferiority. The couch was standing in my dining room and in the process of moving it there we also saw that the upholstery is coming loose and pulling away in places. I contacted the company who ignored me for weeks. When they eventually agreed to come fetch the couch I had to wait another 2 weeks before they actually collected it (that after I had to constantly ask).

I had to ask for a refund and was then told they will make me a new couch - which I declined and insisted on my money back. After a back and forth battle I was told they would refund my at the end of the month(June). I had to ask again, and still no refund. The owner is enjoying holidays outside the borders of the country with the money I paid for horrible horrible workmanship.

Please do not support this business - all you will end up is bad workmanship, terrible client service and money you will never get back.
