STAY AWAY FROM RUSSELS/PEPKOR
Giving them one star is too generous. They took R7000 of my money, delivered a dud TV that started up fine, was 10 minutes old when MH husband said it was safe to pull the plastic off from the bevel. As he did it, TV went haywire, a crack appeared under the screen and the corner of the TV turned blue, then the entire screen went black. We turned it off and on, the name of the TV came up, started pixelaging and and slowly disappeared to black. Russels/Pepkor, after an affidavit of a diagnosis from a technical site, apparently this is a well known factory fault or could have occurred during transport, we certainly didn't drop it or cause any damage, the TV looks perfect, except it isn't. Russels/Pepkor blithely informed us, not giving a rats ****, that someone will be out to investigate. What, I have no clue. We took a picture when the TV was up and a picture when it bombed out. Do the management of Russels White River give a toss? Nope, they took my money quick enough and now tell me it will take 6 DAYS for this bright spark they're sending to come see the TV. Knowing SA service levels I'm not holding my breath. I'm furious. At the moment the are ******* and *****sters. Either replace the clearly faulty unit or give me a refund. It's not a **** TV, it's a Skyworth!! I have been a customer of Russels for years. They just got my last hard earned Rand. So if they bother to answer, give me a new TV of my money back. I will still report them to Consumer Rights, for what it's worth. This is a small town, I'm spreading the word that Russels White River follow 'procedure' and ***** you. Failing a timely answer I guess I will open a case of theft and *****. They're holding my money!! Constance is the manager, nice and all until it comes to being honourable and then just like everyone else, washes her hands and goes to lunch!!!
