Shocking service

The lady that works for me bought a TV from Price n Pride White River (which then was taken over by Russells). Firstly she lands up paying more than 3 times the actual cost of the TV with all extra charges, insurance and warrenties. This in itself is insane. How can a shop overcharge customers like that?

On top of this she took the TV into the store last year October for repairs (the warrenty expired 5 October 2016). The shop cannot prove the date she bought it in. Every time she enquired what was happening the staff said they will get back to her. The same story for 5 months. I decided to contact the store to find out what happened only to find out the TV has never left the store. The story is that as it is out of warrenty (which they could not prove) it needs to be sent away to be repaired but there is a cost of R600 for transport just to get a quote for repair.

The manager - Nicolaas told me he has only been working there a month and then changed his story that he started in December. His reason for it not being sorted out is that he was new and did not know about this repair/complaint. I find that this whole complaint/repair has been handled incorrectly. It is shocking that they take someones property without proper paperwork for the repair and date etc and then keep the item for months without commicating to the customer. Nicolaas showed me the repair request sheet and told me he wrote the date in as they had no proof of the date it was recieved. Surely this kind of lack of service should not be accepted. I have picked up the TV and a remote that does not belong to it as they have lost the remote. I will be spreading the word that Russells is a shop to avoid as firstly they over charge customers and rip them off and secondly thier client service and support is non existant.
