My gran who is a pensioner used her savings to buy a fridge from Russells East London in order for her to start a small business to sustain herself. A few days after it was delivered, the fridge started acting up and she was told to return it to the store for repairs (at her own costs). She then borrowed money to return the fridge. A few weeks later the fridge was ready and Russells still refuses to deliver the fridge to her because they claim that it is her responsibility to collect it. 1. Why is she liable for transport costs if there was an actual fault with the fridge? 2. Who is going to reimburse her for the loss of income in the weeks that Russells was repairing the fridge? 3. Will she still be liable for transport costs if the fridge acts up again? 4. My gran is in debt now because of Russells, is it Russells aim to make the poor even more poorer?
