Pathetic Service - JD Group, Russells Furniture

I cannot believe that there are still people with such poor customer service. I had an account with Russells / JD Group that I had made a settlement payment to and required to confirm if the payment is reflecting.

I call their 0800 number and spoke to a rude guy (Nwabisa) who didnt seem to care that i'm gonna lay a complain. Then asked to speak to a manager (Patric) who was on lunch, asked for a call back, but that was not passed on to him. Eventually, I called back and asked for Patric, and told him of my complaint. He listened to the conversation and advised i should log it with Hellopeter as I advised I will.

So, I was not only stuck with a problem of requiring a confirmation of my balance, but I also needed to deal with Nwabisa's non-customer orientated attitude.

I have worked for the biggest Brewer in the world, I now work for the biggest biggest company in FMCG, in the world.......the reason these companies are this big, is because they understand the importance of treating customers the way they do. My monthly re-payment to Russells is almost 15 times more than the average order of customers that buy from these two giant companies......but i was treated like hell by these JD group employees. And all I wanted was confirmation of a zero-balance.

Weeks later, the sales person that sold the goods to me called me seeking business. I told her about my expirience and she said she is gonna get to the bottom of it. That was the last I heard from her......

So now I'm wondering, if the complaints department is where you get the bad service? who do you tell?

If the Directors and Board members of JD group ever get to read this......

People buy furniture, and they will continue buying. The market you serve is becoming more and more aware of what good service is. If you want to win, sort out your employees' attitude, or you will continue loosing customers and closing stores down like you are currently doing.
