Misleading laybye

I'm really frustrated by russels Thulamahashe in Mpumalanga. In August 2021 I made a lay laybye in Russels Acornhoek, in March 2022 I wanted to make a payment at Thulamahashe branch and I was told my account is inactive. They suggested I open it again at Thulamahashe which I did in March 2022. On 30 September 2022 I sent someone to go make a payment at Thulamahashe, they called and informed me the fridge is no longer available and the ones that are available are little higher in value than the one I had chosen. So I'm surprised that no one bothered to inform me they were discontinuing the item and waited until I went to make payment and my laybye term was meant to be 12 months. Now stuck with no solution because I only budget for the price of the one I chose.
