Just A Crazy Policy
I'm much appalled and disgusted by this JD (Joshua Door) policy. I have made a furniture purchase at Dobsonville, Johannesburg on the 20 December 2014 for which delivery is to be made at my home province Limpopo by the JD people. After realizing that the cost of delivery is R1 700.00. I had called in and spoke with one of the sales guys to say I'll deliver the goods myself. He gave me the go and said I should go to the Tzaneen branch to finalize things or inform him while I'm there so that he can talk to them. I did that and the Dobsonville guys were called in and informed that I'm delivering the goods myself. They alluded that we will talk of reimbur*****ts when I get back to Johannesburg. After doing my own collection on the 24 December 2014 and delivering the goods at my home, going to Dobsonville on the 31 January 2015 to get reimbursed. I was told that I am to forfeit the money as it is policy for them to have delivered for me Which they never told me in the first place. Now I forfeit the money. This is a total rip-off as I only spent less than R200 to have the goods delivered at my home. JD should know better how to inform customers on such issues. I am dismayed.
