Defy Washer Delivered Damaged – Seal Now Broken

Good day

I bought a Defy DAW382 6kg washing machine from Russell’s in December 2022. When it was delivered, it had a dent caused by the forklift driver. I reported it immediately, and in 2023, Defy came to inspect the unit but claimed it was fine.

Now in July 2025, the rubber door seal has broken, and I believe the damage from delivery may have caused internal strain that led to this issue. I’ve used the machine with care, and I’m now outside the 2-year warranty by just a few months.

Russell’s never properly resolved the damage caused during delivery, and I am disappointed with the lack of responsibility taken. I am requesting that the seal be repaired or replaced, as a matter of fair service and accountability.
