Damaged Couches &Bad Customer Service

My mother Joan Ramushu went in to buy couches at Joosubs in Rustenburg in 2015. They told her to use water to wash them. Now the couche's are damaged and they refused helping her because they say the guarantee was over. Now no one doesn't want to help her even when she exercised her consumer right. Now how does she go about with her claim?
