Damaged Couches

My mother bought a couch set in 2015 &she bought then cash amounting to R17 000.

Now the couches got damaged & they said she should wash them using only water of which it wasn't real leather. Now the couch is permanently damaged and they say they can't replace them. They refused helping her. Now how does she go about with getting her money back? Or rather new set of couches? The failed her so many times.
