JoJo pump rusting internally

Recently installed a JoJo tank with JoJo variable speed pump. All works well, but we find the water has a brownish tinge. When I examined the pump this morning I see that the pump chamber is rusting inside - hence the brown tinge to the water passing through the pump! The pump is only a few weeks old, so I’m concerned that the pump is rusting so badly already.
