Not accepting liability for damages to a private owned vehicle done by one of their permanent employees regardless of confirmed witness

I am a 62 year old male from Cape Town. Popped-in at a supermarket & returning to my vehicle I was not able to open driver door due to Johnsons roofing parking too close on driver side. The staff member in concern was asked to kindly move their vehicle so that I can get entry to my vehicle. No action or response other than a "you can wait - Ma se P*&s!" while continuing to scratch inside glove compartment of their company vehicle. After waiting in vain I forced my way into my vehicle with great difficulty & proceed to exit the parking bay. Rolled my window down slightly & commented to the staff member of Johnsons Roofing that he has no respect for the elderly to swear & say "Ma se p*&s like that in public! The staff member then came running & screaming toward my vehicle with a half a brick in hand throwing at me with intent, a near miss to my head & hit the right rear passenger door cutting a hole into the metal 12mm long & a ding of half an inch deep, chipping the paint of to expose the metal. The supermarket security staff on duty looked on & offered no assistance or response of any kind. Utterly traumatized reported the case to the local SAPS, then proceeded to call the CEO of Johnsons Roofing. They agreed to pay for the damages but want to hear their staff member's version of accounts. The next day they complety changed their story & emailed me to say they not accepting any liability for this staff members behaviors & damages caused to my vehicle. Not keen to loose my bonus on insurance I had to opt having the damage to my vehicle fixed privately. This kind of behavior shows that Johnsons will not pay for any damages caused to any property, by their staff on sites where they conducting contract work. Because of their attitude towards the whole incident, I decided to drop ******** charges against young man - due to their non-support to pay for damages & their attitude that they will rather let him go to jail & become an educated ******** instead of sending him for anger management. In lie of this I would not advise anyone to make use of this company as they accept no liability for any misconduct by their staff while working on site, causing damages or theft to private property.
