Pathetic service @ John Williams Welkom

I contacted service department of John Williams Welkom last week on Wednesday 10th November 2021 to book my car for service. I was told they were fully booked and I should bring my car on Monday the 15th of November.

I took my car for service in the morning on Monday the 15th of November as arranged. I clearly indicated to the lady at the service desk that I have extended service plan with Liquid Capital and I saw her putting a note when she was taking my details.

I was surprised when the lady from the service department phoned me at around 16h15 to tell me that my car is ready and I needed to pay about R7000. I told her that I did indicate to her that I have an extended service plan with Liquid Capital and couldn't understand why they were not contacted for authorization. She asked me if I could leave my car overnight at the dealer so that they can sort it out the next day. I told her I cannot leave the car overnight as I have a trip to Mahikeng today in the morning. She promised to phoned me back after consulting with responsible people. When she phoned me back she told me I can come and collect my car and they will sort out the authorization with Liquid Capital afterwards.

I went to collect my car with the impression that it was already serviced as I brought it in early in the morning and I was only contacted late in the afternoon. I was then only told when I got there that my car was not serviced as they didn't know that they needed to contact Liquid Capital for authorization, contrary to what I indicated when I brought the car in for service in the morning.

Now I had to cancel my trip to await them get authorization from Liquid Capital to get my car serviced, as I am not prepared to embark on a trip with an unserviced car. They promised to get back to me in the morning for feedback, but I still haven't heard anything. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even bother to contact Liquid Capital as they promised because their service rendering is clearly questionable and pathetic.
