Peter Jones 'and Partners' - disappointed again

Bought items on Friday 4 Oct in store (Peter Jones, Sloane Sq)and requested delivery. Was told that delivery would take up to 5 days and so I asked for Tuesday the 8th as was moving into new home so not there prior to this date. Not only could 'the system' not provide a delivery date, it could not accept a request for a date. I called today to track where the delivery was as perhaps I could collect it and was told that 'if it's already been noted for delivery then it is being delivered'. Duh. And they hung up. Oh my gosh. Have always been a loyal Peter Jones supporter but am questioning my sanity. The experience on the 4th was not great as the clerks assisting were so intimidated by their manager that they were afraid to ask for needed help. Now I know how they feel. This is a big brand letting down its customers and staff.How hard is it to train your managers to be patient with your staff and customers and have a customer friendly 'system' and call centre who want to help rather than not? I'm done with this brand. As soon as I get my delivery...
