Uninteresting fish special with not even a hint of spice and Terrible service... ******* of a meal as well

We were at Greenstone shopping centre this evening (14 September 2018), we decided on having fish for dinner as we were exiting the centre, next to Rush we saw the special of small, medium or large fish with chips and and a coke (doesn't say can or machine drink) at various prices.

We decided to purchase the Large fish with chips and a coke for R59 and ordered 3. However what we received and what we thought we were getting were the extreme opposites. We received maybe 15 chips; a medium fish (cold) and coke and tartar sauce that was hot but looked like a rejected batch due to the oil on top. I tried to order two sprite Zeros and was told that the cans cost R23 vs the machine drink which is R10 an they could not compromise and give cans at all, An option should always be available as not everyone likes machine drinks. I went through three staff members (Waiter, and two managers) just to place my order.

I decided to call the store to complain about the horrible meal we received and the fact that the fish was small and cold, and we were not impressed, only to have to go through three people again just to be told they would make another one and asked if we could fetch it this evening or another time. We decided to fetch the new fish and chat to the manager of the store about this disaster of a meal, who then showed us the two sizes of fish they have as their small and medium option of fish vs the large option which we got... its as if we were unaware of the size difference and they tried to pull the wool over our eyes and also requested that next time we just order the medium fish as thats what they have.

We have had the replacement fish that was made as an apology and there is nothing special about their fish at all, no flavour, horrible texture, incorrect size and was very dry even though we ordered the grilled fish, it was by far the worst fish I have ever eaten, their customer service stinks too and there is no guarantee they will improve on anything either because of staff attitude.

We have been frequent customers in the past but in light of of this evenings service and meal received, it is doubtful that we will return in a hurry. For R59 this meal is an absolute ******* and will not be purchasing it again in a hurry

Hope the store looks into this matter and thinks twice before selling substandard meals to customers and literally getting away with it.
