NEGLIGENT SERVICE

I was at John Dory's at Liberty Mall, PMB a couple days ago, i distinctly asked the waitress for a virgin strawberry daquiri and asked her if this was possible to which she responded yes. when i received my drink, i asked her agian i she was sure its a virgin drink and no alcohol added as i was dressed in Islamic dress code so she would know that i do not consume alcohol, she smiled and said yes it is virgin, and that she knew we do not consume alcohol. i took a sip and it was not at all what i ordered. i tried to get her attention but she was busy attending to customers who had entered after me, clearing tables and mingling to even notice me calling. another gentleman came by, i assumed he was the supervisor or manager on duty; and asked if everything was ok as he saw me trying to get someones attention. i explained what had happened and he apologized and said that the waitress must have misunderstood me, and that he would have a chat with her. she came by to bring us our meals, she did not look at me when serving my food, nor did she apologize. the gentleman exchanged my alcohol based drink with something else. he informed me that their ****tails are pre packs so they unable to serve virgin drinks. i would have udnerstood had she told me this. we do not consume alcohol, it is my preference as well as a common practice in Islam. we are living in a democratic country and i do not see why this cannot be understood or why my request was over looked. this was not only negligent, it was also terrible service that i was not given an apology by the waitress. i was not offered any compensation for the alcohol which will be in my body for at least 40 days before leaving my system completely!!! besides a compensation, i was not even given a decent apology. john dorys is a brand, where lots of Muslim customers gather to enjoy seafood meals. the negligence from a restaurant such as this is unacceptable! the waitresses shoudl be informed about these things and even if she was unaware, surely she would have told the barman about the "virgin" drink requested and he could have said that this was not possible. i feel as if i was given the daquiri and that they deliberately served it thinking i would not notice the difference and for this i am very furious! i will inform evryone i know of my experience, whether by mouth or on social media and i will NOT visit any john dory restaurant ever again. i will inform all my business associates as well as my clients, i own a business so this will very fast spread and i will not be able to visit this franchise after this incident.
