More that 5 min between servings

At first the starters were served fast, we order the mains and wait for more than 45 min and during this time no waiter in site. No communication no drink offering no noting. After I ask what the delay was they explain so that I still do not understand what went wrong. Eventually we received two plates and wait over 5 min for the third plate.
