John Dory's Vaalmall - NOT RECOMMENDED. WORST customer experience

John Dory's Vaalmall used to be our go-to place for seafood in the Vaal Triangle - NOT ANYMORE! We ordered the 4S**** Platter for 4, but was told by the waiter (Akhona) that they did not have the special anymore. After going back twice to the manager, she confirmed that they will still serve the special (The manager, David, actually confirmed after discussions with him that it was still part of the menu - as it is also still displayed on the web page of John Dory's). I ordered a Corona Cero, only to receive a bottle that had already expired (past best before date of July 2025). Last month the Heineken 0.0 was warm, now expired beer. Corona is actually currently on promotion at the branch - how can you promote/advertise products that are all expired!? We eventually received our platter, only to call the waiter and ask her for sauces (tomato sauce etc). She brought a basket with a number of sauces and later we called on the manager for bowls of warm water and wet wipes for our greasy fingers (as this was always supp**** in the past) - he arranged for this. Akhona needs some in depth coaching and training as she is not up to standard. Maybe the branch staff needs some additional training/coaching? We will not visit the John Dory's branch in the Vaal mall again! We cannot associate ourselves with Johan Dory's if this is the standard. Maybe Ocean Basket or another alternative in future.
