Poor service, workmanship and ********* ways

I don't even want to give this company a detailed review.

Above service provider was appointed by ABSA Insurance to attend to my claim for replacing my flooded floors in July 2017. The job was completed after various complications in Nov 2017.

We paid about R30 000 for the screeding and skirting and ABSA about R50 000 for the installation.

The floor started lifting at end Nov 2017.

The manager of John Dore Flooring claimed it is a waterleak and referred us back to ABSA.

Two ssessors were appointed and found no moisture issue but a subfloor problem and that there are slate at the bottom. His waterleak attempt failed.

It is a known fact to first check the quality of the subfloor, before screeding . After lifting a small area the assessors confirmed that the existing subfloor was only 3mm and should be 40mm and that there is slate at the bottom. If he checked the quality of the subfloor (which is easy to do), he would've discovered above.

Now he is blaming it on above saying it was/ is a structural problem and have nothing to do with.

He also said that the assessor said that his work is 100% correct. Lies.

He claims that no-one will know about the subfloor and slate, unless the whole floor is chopped up.

If he pointed out to us or made sure that the quality of the subfloor was inorder for screeding (which I doubt he was even aware of or chose to take a shortcut), we would've removed the slate and corrected the subfloor, then screed or chose another flooring option.

Who should be the pro here? Him or us?

It is now almost a year later and it looks asif we will have to go the legal way unless ABSA take responsibility THEIR service Provider's poor workmanship and ********* ways.

I don't even expect/or require a reply from John Dore, as communication is also a area they can improve in.

My goal here is just to warn other's NEVER to use this company.
