Inappropriate Comments by Staff

My ***friend and myself decided to go to the Zoo on the afternoon of 27 May 2023. We arrived at around 1:30pm, paid for our tickets and then began making our way through. At the entrance to the Zoo we were greeted by a lady who was taking pictures of the patrons as we entered. After taking a photo of myself and my ***friend, the lady operating the camera looked at me, laughed in my face and said she "likes my teeth". As a bit of background, I have very skewed teeth in addition to severe periodontal disease which has caused my one front tooth to be severely discoloured and has caused a lot of insecurity. This comment made by this lady not only made me feel extremely uncomfortable but also left me feeling extremely insecure and upset. This type of comment is and should not be acceptable by staff to be making to patrons. This is not something I have the means to fix as of right now and having it pointed out by a complete stranger for no reason is not okay. Is this the type of behaviour and comments one should expect when entering the Zoo from the staff? Should the expectation of friendly service not be expected?

One should not make comments about another if that "thing" cannot be fixed within 5 minutes. NO ONE should be commenting on someone else's appearance in that way, let alone laughing in their face in a facetious way. The feelings this interaction has left me with over the last few days has been anything but pleasant.

I would seriously hope that the Zoo has better standards of treating patrons than this.
