Delinquent Water Entities blame consumers for Water Deprivation

Johannesburg Water is frequently experiencing challenges in supplying the Hursthill and other Feed areas with clean running water, this occurring since 2014, and appears to be repeating itself in 5 yearly intervals, just before elections and now again prior to the 2024 elections. This leaving the impacted Communities of Johannesburg and Surrounds without a drop on tap or without an Alternative source made available as prescribed by the Constitution of South Africa. This Deprivation is believed to be in blatant contravention of the City By Laws, The Water Act and The Bill of Rights and equates in Mass Human Right Violations within the ANC / EFF led Johannesburg Metropolitan District. Sensible announcements from the Water Entities are withheld and nonsensical communiques issued that typically blame it all on overconsumption by the consumers, how Deprived consumers can overconsume water from dry taps remains a mystery. The cherry on top; on reinstatement of the water supply, rushing water forces air out of the pipes causing water meters to spin out of control, so consumers are left with hefty water bills for this free air.
