Road Damages on 1st Avenue Kew for 1 Month and No Response from the Johannesburg Road Agency

Please note that we had a complete road closure on 1st Avenue for 2 weeks. The roads agency staff confirmed that they would need to dig up the tar as they had some cabling that needed to be changed or better said the main electrical box in our area burnt down. They came and fixed the cabling however the road was closed for 3 days with no clear communication on the status of the job. They eventually completed the re-cabling 2 days later however the entire road was closed off between 3rd road and 4th road. The main damage being on 1st Avenue where they dug up the road and then closed it up with the dug up sand which is that horrible red dusty sand. 1 month later after the many calls to the JRA hotline 2 ladies keep taking my call (one being Lebo) who has promised to assist however her role is to log the call and then the depot in our area should come and re-tar and fix all the holes they have managed to create. TO date I am still waiting and no one will call nor respond on when this will be fixed. We have now encountered additional holes in the road because of

Please can we have this resolved ASAP as this dust is having a huge effect on my family. We cannot even keep our doors open as the dust settles like powder all around.

This is terribly unhygienic and toxic for our chests as we are now inhaling all this sand.
