In January 2019, I hit a pothole with My AMG Mercedes and damaged the tyre, rim and suspension as well as a result of rain and the potholes being hidden! I collated all the info as required and forwarded this onto Nomvula at the beginning of Feb. after almost a month she replies and says that she requires more quotes, to which I retrieved and sent to her. and at the beginning of March she forwarded a mail that everything has been captured and I got my claim number.. thereafter I had to wait for the investigation to take place.. the investigator called me in June to setup a meeting to view the place where the incident took place.. yes, 3 months later! I questioned her and she said she only received my file that week before. nevertheless, I met her and all was well! Then they sent everything to their insurance, AON, to which I had to take my damaged car for an assessment. which I did.. thereafter I was contacted by their attorneys, V & R Incorporated to which a Ram Moodley wanted to meet for an inspection in loco", so that was done in early September.. and finally, 2 weeks ago, the claim was repudiated for reasons stated below: 1. they provided a weather cut out for the day (how sure I am that it was of the day of the incident, I cant be sure at all) and they say that it rained earlier and the roads would have dried.. but we all know how the JHB storms work daily in the evenings 2. The road I used - who the F#*k is anyone to tell me where I can and cannot drive my car?????? They say the route I took and the reasons was not even plausible.. it is my car, they do not know the person I am, my likes and dislikes!! 3. the road of the pothole, it is full of cracks and potholes, and 8 months after the incident, the roads have been damaged and repaired numerous of times as to such that after 8 months I could not pin point the exact location of the pothole, so for that, they also repudiated the claim! 4. they said that I mentioned certain things in my statement, which I didn't.. a copy of which I sent to them again! 5. most worryingly.. they say that my car was previously written off in March 2016.. before I bought the car... sold as a salvage at auction operation... I contacted auction operation and they have no record of ever having this vehicle.... I have since requested proof of this car being written off, but they are not replying to me at all now... 6. I bought the car from a guy called Mark.. the bank used a F & I to do the inspection.. when I picked up the car. I collected it from Mark and not a dealership.. to me that was a private sale, but they advised that it was not a private sale...

All their above reasons are pathetic!! they drag the whole process along so one cannot remember every single detail as it happened and then they repudiate the claims!!!

I am paying my taxes.. I deserve to be able to drive wherever I want whenever I want and not have to worry about potholes but as I am paying my taxes for the same!!! But these people just look for excuses in every way to repudiate claims!!!

This is what our country has come to...

The damages to my car is in excess of R40k.. and they did not even pay me for the tyre of the rim!!!

PATHETIC, JUST DIGUSTING AND PATHETIC! This is like ****************!! We pay our taxes for nothing and receive this services!!!!

They all should be ashamed!! How do you all even sleep at night knowing that you have wronged so many!!
