Grass as high as my shoulders

I live in Southdale, Johannesburg. I have to wait for my bus on Nelson Road, off Alamein Road. The grass there has not been cut for months and months. It is so high that at some places it almost reaches my shoulder. The pathway is barely visible. When you walk through there, you have black jets on your clothes. When it rains I have to use the road and it gets very busy that being knocked by a car is a very real possibility. The people living on that road have called the Council time and time again but nothing has been done. Also, we are experiencing an increase in rodents entering our houses and it is probably due to the grass being that high.
