Damaged car by Johannesburg City Parks contractor

On Tuesday the 2nd, one of the City Parks contractors damaged my car whilst cutting grass at Orlando Library. I reported the incident the very same time to the contractor and he never bothered to acknowledge that his employee damaged my car whilst cutting the grass. Even though the employee did acknowledge he didn't stop cutting when I was passing. After not winning with the contractor. I then went to report the contractor to City Parks depot offices in Soweto. I report the incident to Xolani Dlamini who assured me he'll look into it after I've showed him where my car was damaged. I even showed him pictures I took of the registration number of the Van the contractor's employees were using. Xolani I had to call him to find out if he had made contact with the contractor and he took me he did. I had to follow up with Xolani yesterday and tell him the contractor promised to call me last week Friday for us to settle the matter. The contractor never bothered to call me as promised. And yesterday I told Xolani, and he promised he will follow up with the contractor and come back to me. To date Xolani, nor City Parks hasn't comeback to me with feedback on what they going to do with the contractor they appointed. I feel Xolani is trying to protect the contractor as when I went to report the contractor. Xolani told me he knows "Mr Khumalo" the contractor very well and he will speak to him to resolve this matter. However today marks a week since the incident happened and I feel City Parks under Xolani is not taking my issue seriously. I will be reporting my incident to the SAPS so I can take the matter to small claim court. If this is how City Parks and it's contractor's operate by damaging people's cars and not take responsibility. Then is a matter the City Joburg will need to be made aware off.
