Came highly Recommend by good friends, we contacted Johan/Tania Greef, at the time they called themselves called TanXon Solar Experts, AKA JL Solar Experts, recently operating under the name – Extra Ordinary Solar Solutions and Solar Christmas Specials. They use Facebook to find their customers and referrals.

• In short, they quoted us for 16 X 380w panels, however received 14 x 350w panels. When we queried the number of panels, they told us they installed 450w panels. I had to climb on the roof to confirm what they had actually installed. • They quoted us for 2 x 14kw (300ah) batteries. However, when the we opened the batteries, they were only 7.2kw (150ah) lithium batteries. Also the BMS (Battery Management system) had been disconnected which is very dangerous for Lithium batteries. These batteries are no longer in our possession as they have been return to the original owners. • We were quotes for 2 x 10kva inverter, they originally tried to install a 5kva inverter, when I queried this, they told us that there was no stock and then waited 4 weeks for a 10kva inverter. When they brought the inverter it came wrapped in glad wrap (No box, so assuming that it was 2nd hand). The inverter was supposed to have WiFi/ App access, they gave me a WiFi logger that didnt work. There is no manual for this inverter nor does the inverter support lithium batteries, so no communication between inverter and batteries. In short, doesn’t fulfill what I asked for. • Quoted COC – Never received it. • They told us we need to rewire the DB board, we paid extra R8500.00 for that. Having to get an electrician to redo what they did, example, kitchen plugs/ Swimming Pool pump on a 15am circuit breaker. Meaning that you can’t have the kettle and microwave on at the same time, it trips the DB board. • They also don’t have a registered company have many different address of the many quotes they gave us.

I have to literally replace the entire system and in the process of doing the following • Buying new batteries • Buy a new inverter that supports lithium batteries and Wi-Fi logging. • Add more panels as the system he supp**** doesn’t meet what I need. • Redo the entire installation • Get a COC (certificate of compliance )
