Government Services Fail Again to Provide Service Within Stated Operating Hours
A nurse informed me that staff had already finished for the day and that the administrative office was closed, as the workers had left. I pointed out that it was not yet 4pm, to which she rep**** that once they have completed their work, they simply leave. This raises an obvious question: how can they consider their work complete while patients still remain on the premises requiring assistance? The clinic was, after all, not empty. Is this the standard to which our public services have sunk — where staff attend to the public only when it suits them, rather than for the duration they are contracted to serve? This is all the more frustrating given that the matter I needed attended to would have taken less than a minute to resolve.
