Harassment

After discussing and prooving with documents to this lady Krisna, that I am not liable for the debt, not only did she call me a **** but threatened to have a garinishee order against my salary. Regardless of what I said she continued to threaten me. She also called to discuss this issue with the company leaving a message with my Manager that she is coming to repossess my furniture. In all my life I have never felt so inferior by the way this lady spoke to me. Is this the norm? Do people that really have debt problems get treated like this? Staff should be trained to deal with people in an appropriate manner. Listen, understand and then negotiate, not demand. Surely there are regulations in place, whether Attorneys or just Debt Collectors we are all human. One now maybe understands why so much debt is written off once accounts are handed over. No wonder Consumers refuse to pay their debts. It's that initial call from the company that either you win or you loose and with the manner in which I was approached you will always have a no win situation...
