Poor service delivery Jock Sabie Lodge

We booked in on the 31st of December 2020. Initially quite impressed with the gardens. Receptionist accompanied us to our room to ensure we were satisfied. Booking details state Wifi and, DSTV. Informed no Wifi as there had been a bad storm. Restaurant closed due to COVID..obce we unoacked.. Our neighbors arrived. Booming music and alcohol galore. Twice we asked them to please lower the volume. The plugs in room not working to recharge our cellphones. Our room closely situated to swimming. A large number of people at poolside, music blaring and alcohol flowing. Based what the current healthcare situation is in South Africa we realised that there was zero compliance. I went to reception to complain. Receptionist stated no Wifi due to recent storm (I perused previous revies and in November people were complaining about no Wifi) she also responded I should have checked the plugs whilst she was in our room. When I questioned the noise levels and public use od alcohol she repkued that the previous white tenants had no complaints. I immediately asked her to repeat ehat she had said.. She apologized if I perceived this as a ****** remark. Needless to say I was horrified I asked to be refunded as no one will insult me with ****** remarks. She then tried to find alternative accommodation.. She went into her office and was explaining situation I heard her say I was being difficult and wanted a refund.. She also stated "yes she heard what I said". Their was a second lady present who did not introduce herself.. Yet was extrenely unhelpful and aggressive. I adked again for a refund as they refused to give me contact details of owner.. "take that pamphlet". She asked for my banking details by then a third person had joined. I refused to read my banking details out loud.. Second lady approached to read the number. I objected as I still did not know who she was. My money was refunded eventually Jock Sabie Lodge doesn't even deserve a rating. At R895. 50 Per night it is a *******.. No Wifi, no DSTV instead old box TV with SABC 1, 2 and 3 and MNET.. outdated furniture, no restaurant on premises, non compliance re COVID regulations nor any concern with current guests drinking in public. No service delicery and to top it all.. Making a ****** remark towards a client is unconstitutional. We keft for home as there was no accommodation in Sabie at 18h30..this meant driving back home to Pretoria whilst knowing curfew started at 21h00. Fortunately I do have a travel permit.
