********* Business Dealing
I bought a car in December 2017 for R138900, the dealership submitted finance application at MFC on the 17th Dec '17 and I got approval which they communicated to me on the 18th. I had a discussion with Esme Swart on the vehicle pricing and instalments. I was very specific to the sales person and Esme Swart that my budget is R4000/m anything more than that I will not purchase. She did some calculations and said to me the instalment will be about R3300/m for 72 Months, we ended up agreeing that on R3700/m for 60 months. I visited them on the 19th to sign the MFC contract and the deal as whole. She explained step by step what was on the contract and all financial commitments from myside and the selling price.
The deal was signed by two of JNS Auto Sales personnel and myself at a selling price of R138900 plus license and registration, warranty and Data Dot.
On January 8th, 2018 I received a call from Ruaan Henning that I need to come and see them, I went on the 9th. On my arrival Esme Swart said do you remember the price that we discussed of R174900 for the vehicle, I said stop right there the selling price we discussed over two days was R138900. She gave me a letter to sign that said I was awre of the higher selling price and I consent MFC to adjust the contract price. I refused and Ruaan Henning said if I don't sign this document today they will go and collect the vehicle. Since then I received phone calls threatening to repot to police that I stole the car and I must tell them where it is so they can collect it.
They visited my workplace, and continued to call me with threat and insults this time. I lodged a complaint to MFC as they refused to register the vehicle so I can get a valid license disc.
I got a call from Valecia Louting, a dealer relations consultant. She was rude and said the dealer has the right to report me to the police, I must bring back the car or accept to pay more. This was a surprise as it was clear she has no interest in assisting me on this bullying.
When I referred the matter to MFC to my surprise Valecia Louting and the JNS Auto Sales have submitted a ********** finance application of the higher price. I spoke to Head of Credit to stop the deal, who called Valecia Louting to put her conference call with me. She claimed that I agreed, but she was not aware that I was listening. She change her tune and asked to speak to me privately, when she realizes I on the call too.
I escalated the matter to MFC and I receive a call from Christopher Coetzee (Dealer Relations Manager), who also used the same bullying tactics and claimed that I am enriching myself on this deal. He asked that I bring the car back or pay more. I refused, and said unless MFC sends me an official correspondence that they are cancelling the deal and I will not be liable for any fees. When that happens the dealer can then collect the vehicle at their cost as it is 1000kms away.
I escalated the matter further to Nedbank on Twitter and received an email from Robin van Niekerk (Customer Resolution Manager), who made it clear that Nedbank sides with the dealership that the contract be corrected. now I am forced into a corner to accept a bogus deal under false pretense of making a mistake, on a deal that was negotiated over two days and they have received payment on (JNS Auto Sales).
I am willing to take this matter to Mr Reuel Khoza (Chairman of Nedbank Group) and Mr Michael Brown (CEO of Nedbank Group) if need be. I will not allow JNS Auto Sales together with Nedbank to bully me into a bogus deal. JNS Auto Sales and MFC already committed ***** by submitting a financial application without my consent and non of MFC/Nedbank personnel I spoke want to even hear about this. As for JNS Auto Sales, bullying tactics will end, "a card up my sleeve".
