Horrific.

Sometime early September in 2024 my bike was taken here for assessment and repairs, the feedback of the assessment seemed to take forever. Finally I was notified that my bike's repairable, great. Great? After weeks upon weeks and then month after month, chasing and following up, I finally get my bike back. Great and all, but first I wasn't given back my fuel, the bike still felt skew, rode skew, my clutch lever was still bent and my gear lever also still bent to a point where it kept getting stuck on a bolt whilst I'm trying to downshift. With this, months later when riding in the dark for the first time in a while, I discovered my headlight is pointing down and left, even though the brackets were apparently replaced. During this, I keep hearing a shearing/s****ing noise from the front wheel, which I initially thought was the wheel bearings. A few weeks later or however long, my rear brake locks up (the lever only, not the caliper) and then it dismantles itself, leaving me with no rear brake. Months later, I finally manage to hand in the bike back to them for repairs, again. They replaced the clutch lever, fixed the rear brake, sorted the skew headlight, discover the shearing noise I hear from the front wheel is actually the brake disc which was bent and wasn't noticed before/ picked up, and then bent the forks or whatever straight again. Some time later, I discover yet again a massive, massive issue. Somehow the dust cover for my steering bearings had been left off or forgotten, causing the bearings to gunk up with dust and crud. I decided to kick up a storm with my insurance to get it sorted because I was fed up. I was assigned an assessor by King Price(my insurance at the time), though after the last “fix”, early in June 2025 I discovered two dents on my left fork tube, interestingly in exactly the same spot on opposite sides of the tube indicating it was clamped down, which I hadn't noticed before. A fact stemming from them having to “straighten” my bike multiple times. After that I lost my noggin’ and kicked up the bad reviews again in their HelloPeter, after which the same assessor reviewed AGAINST me, ending with “please don’t let negative reviews fool you.” That said, l'd not trust them to fix ANY of my issues again, lest I receive my bike back with a new issue, again. I definitely don't recommend even considering their services. I’ve previously reviewed them (but seems I stayed as the last review) and it now shows as “JMD Superbike Permormance”, but then I found they’ve made a new profile.

Exceptional service from Jossie at JMD Motors

Outstanding experience purchasing a 2024 Suzuki Gixxer 250 from JMD Motors. Dealing entirely remotely from the Western Cape with a dealer in Gauteng could easily have felt risky, but Jossie, the owner, made it seamless. He sent full listing details, photos, and a video of the bike without being asked. The bike came with a spare key, full service history, warranty, everything transparent and clearly presented. I asked about exhaust options for my bike. Jossie walked me through the choices, I put down a deposit to get the work started, and he sent me dyno run videos before and after the exhaust fitment, that kind of enthusiasm and attention to detail is genuinely rare. The bike was delivered to Cape Town in perfect condition. JMD included my original exhaust in a box, a framed photo of my bike, and the temporary registration. A minor admin query about the service book was resolved by Jossie the very next morning with supporting documentation, exactly the kind of after-sales responsiveness you hope for but rarely get. If you're an out-of-province buyer hesitant about dealing remotely, don't be. Highly recommended.
