Selecting a competent law firm
My experience with this law firm was below average compared to the lawyers that I engaged with the sale of my house, namely Leeuwner Maritz.
According to the law the seller chooses the lawyer and the purchaser pays all the fees. the Transfer lawyers need to maintain objectivity for both purchaser and seller. this was not the case with me.
based on experiences with this law firm I strongly advice all buyers and sellers to check before employing a law firm. Competence, objectivity and human relations are crucial points to look for. Also, the offer to purchase needs to be consistent with the process of transfer. I my case the delays and incompetence only showed up during the lockdown. Hence the delay during the lockdown was mild compared to the service of this firm.
