TK Home/ T & K Home - Owner refused refund on sale

I purchased a suitcase at JK Home, alternatively JK Home, a Chinese owned store at the Cornwall View Shopping Centre on the morning of Tuesday, 2026/03/24.

Just after 17:00 I returned to the store requesting a full refund on my purchase. The manager explained that she was not able to do a refund and that the owner, a Chinese lady, was the only one that can do a refund. I requested the manager to contact the owner.

The owner, a Chinese lady, refused a refund on the purchase. I informed her that it is against the Consumer Act and that I'm going to report her and her business. She then told the manager, who was on video call with the owner, to tell me that I can do whatever I like. I left the store with the suitcase. Is TK Home/T & K Home worth doing any business with or adhering to the Consumer Act?

I went to a nearby suitcase shop and discovered that not only were their suitcases cheaper but they also offered a guarantee on their suitcases.
