Jimmys ****er Prawns are really ****ers
Yesterday 12 November 2017 my boyfriend and I decided to go for lunch to Jimmy ****ers Prawns at Gateway, to give credit where it's due, all the staff were very friendly and seated us upstairs. My boyfriend ordered the Prawn and calamari combo and upsized his prawns to queen size prawns and i ordered the Mozambique platter which consists of 8 Medium prawns and chicken livers. Our food was cold when we received it, thereafter my boyfriend realized that his up sized prawns were the same size as my medium prawns and that some of my prawns were fleshier than his so, we told the waitress and she called the manager as we refused to pay the price of queen size prawns when he was given normal prawns so they agreed that they would not charge us. Thereafter, i took a bite of my livers served on a stale roll, the sauce in which the livers were, was delicious however, it seemed that the sauce is given in order to cover the taste of the actual livers which tasted horrible. I decided to try a prawn and after my first bite i knew that these "fresh"prawns were obviously old; as i peeled the flesh away from the shell, the shell was black and i refused to eat it. My boyfriend tried his prawns too and he faced the same problem so we spoke to the manager and he insisted that the prawns are fresh but it could be from a bad batch. All i ate was the rice which came with my meal and my boyfriend ate the calamari. We paid the bill and left. My boyfriend really suffered after the meal but i will not go into further detail with that. I do not want a free meal at the Restaurant I would however just like my money back as the meals were not worth a cent.
