I contacted Jimly Aluminium on 21 March 2026 regarding an urgent issue with a broken glass panel on my aluminium sliding door which had come off the track. James responded quickly despite it being a public holiday which I initially appreciated. He returned on 23 March 2026 to replace the glass. During the installation he stated the door needed adjustment and proceeded to cut the aluminium frame. It became clear that the wrong size glass may have been used and adjustments were made to force it to fit. The locking mechanism was also altered and parts of the frame were cut with an angle grinder without proper explanation. When I raised concerns I was told I was being “too picky.” After payment I discovered that the locking panel had been cut through which would eventually make the door impossible to lock. I reported this immediately and was told it would be fixed. Despite following up from 31 March 2026, I received no response until he eventually returned on 13 May 2026. While part of the lock was replaced further damage was done to the main frame during this visit. I made it clear that this was unacceptable as the job was only to replace the glass not to damage the frame. James agreed to sort out the replacement at his own cost. After that he once again ignored all calls and messages. When I finally reached him on 8 June 2026 he became aggressive, shouted at me and claimed there was nothing he could do as he couldn’t source the frame and ended the call. He is now refusing to resolve the issue. Very disappointed with the poor workmanship, lack of accountability and unprofessional behaviour. I am left with a damaged door and no resolution. I would strongly caution others before using this service.
