Eastgate Shopping Centre - Lack of security - hiding behind non existent disclaimers

<p>Eastgate Shopping Centre is not safe and they lie about their security. My laptop bag was ****** out of my car when the car locks were jammed in the paid underground parking right in front of the banking entrance. The Eastgate Control room Operations manager advised they have CC camera's all over, when I requested to view the footage, after some time in the Control room, I was told there are no CCTV cameras in the underground parking due to renovations, by three separate people in the Control room, the Risk Manager, Operations Manager and security man. When I raised this with centre management the General Manager advised he will investigate the incident, I am sent a letter saying Eastgate have CC camera's all over Eastgate including the parking therefore I park at my own risk? Which is a blatant untruth, as the Risk Manager advised they were going to install CCTV cameras once the renovations were complete. The Risk Manager undertook to process a claim, Marsh and AIG the insurers also try and hide behind the " park at your own risk disclaimer". This argument may be valid if there are signs clearly displayed when I enter the paid parking. There were NO disclaimer signs anywhere, but subsequent to my pointing this out Disclaimer signs have hastily been put up, I have photographic proof that there were no disclaimers signs up at the entrance to the underground parking. Notwithstanding the aforementioned by making me pay for the parking Eastgate entered a tacit agreement to secure my property, their failure to secure me and my property is gross negligence.</p> <p> </p>
