Look elsewhere

18 Jan 2024 Jhb removals arrived to take my belongings JHB - DBN. A bunch of very scruffy sub-contractors arrived. One stole a bottle of whisky and broke a connection when dismantling the washing causing water everywhere. Whoever dismantled the dishwasher did not advise us that the drainage pipe was left open. Flood no 2 (the next day). When complaining was told that they were doing me a favour in disconnecting the items. The previous day I had asked whether or not they would disconnect the items and they said 'yes' they could no problem. Refused to pay half the plumber bill and basically it was a bad experience. Then, when saying goodbye to the supervisor, I said that we would see them the next morning in DBN as agreed (in fact they told me it would be an overnight journey, (I did not request that it should be overnight) as I had read that share loads may take a few days.) I was then told, no, the goods would not arrive the next day but probably the day after. That was a side swipe and I had to re-organise the ppl receiving the goods at the other end including plumber and so on. I wish there was some honesty in the world.
