"LOW QUOTES DO NOT DESERVE QUALITY WORKMANSHIP" - Quoted by the Owner

Work done for my brother at Vista Place Randpark for a mere R 15000.00 was extremely stunning and a pleasure to the eye and therefore JFK was requested for a quote at their new residence in Northwold and got the contract on a R 17000.00 quote (JFK THATCHERS QUOTATION). What a total disappointment: 1. Major gaps between the Thatch roof and Boundary walls - defeating the object of having a Lapa erected, get rained on from all angles. 2. Built-in Braai built at Randpark 1000 mm Wide x 800 mm Deep. This one 1200 mm Wide x 600 mm Deep causing the Roof area to be flooded with smoke exiting the front of the Braai as it is not deep enough. Owner of the business has all the excuses under the sun, (fed to him by his Son who was supposed to oversee the construction but was never on site) and has never come top site to see the catastrophe rendered by his Son's unsupervised team. My Brother being totally frustrated with the run around being received from the owner, I made contact with him as he does not know my number where he informed me that how could we expect good quality workmanship at that price.

DEFINITELY A BUSINESS TO STEER CLEAR OF!!!!

Yes This Company did not do any work for me in person but for my Brother on two occasions. The second due to the excellent job done on the first. I have had privy to see both projects completed and in use and unfortunately the last project is a disaster. More smoke in the Lapa area than going out the chimney. Gaps between the boundary walls and roof rendering the space useless in a rainstorm unlike the one built at the previous address. On submitting my disgust on their company blog I received numerous calls from the owner threatening legal actions and motivating excuses as to the quality of the work done without having personally having inspected the work done under his son's supervision.

Now some weeks later I have been approached to remove my submission to Hellopeter or the owner will not go and sort out the disagreement with my Brother.

My Brother had no input into the original submission nor this one, it was totally on me as I have done and will do with any company taking monies from clients and delivering less than favourable quality.

If the owner steps up and delivers favourably there may be a possibility to change the severity of these submissions from negative to positive. WHICH IS THE SOLE PURPOSE FOR THIS PLATFORM.
