Jetmaster not Living up to its Name

Bought a R20,000 standard 1200mm stainless Jetmaster braai for our new house. The frame is skew. The coal tray buckled violently when it got hot, and also when it returned to its original shape when cooling down. The door buckled despite having bracing and bulged outward causing unsightly scratches when being manoeuvred into its stowed/open position. The grid supports are skew.

Unfortunately the unit was installed in my absence and some of the problems only became apparent upon use.

After numerous approaches through the salesperson to Jetmaster, the manager, to his credit I guess, eventually drove from Joburg to Durban with a new door and a modified coal tray. The new door has extra bracing, but this is now coming off at the spot welds. The new tray also frightens guests when it buckles, but much less so than the last. Waiting a year now for the corrective second visit.

I've given up and will live with my buckled stainless Jetmaster. It is a pity that the standard of such a well-known brand has fallen to this degree.
