Jetline Printers, The Marc, Sandton
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Jetline Printers, at the Marc in Sandton, JHB.
I went to have invitations printed for a client. The files that I provided had crop marks to make it easy to cut accurately.
I had provided my own paper, and asked for a sample print before proceeding. I also gave the printing assistant a sample of the way the invite needed to be cut and a sample of the invitation. (All to ensure accuracy). She cut them neatly and showed me the sample, I was happy and proceeded to print 100 invitations and have them cut at Jetline.
The document I provided has 2 squared invited with crop mark guides for cutting. However when I received my prints it was cut skew and I could see the crop mark lines on the invite.
The card paper I provided (50 sheets) costed R400 in total and the printing job cost R300. Only once I got home I saw how badly it was cut!
When called to complained about the inaccuracy of the cutting, I was told by a employee at Jetline that “if I have something important that needs to be cut I should do it myself, because they used a guillotine paper cutter and it doesn’t always cut accurately”.
I’ve been printing and cutting for years, and never heard before that a guillotine paper cutter can cut incorrectly. The only way it cuts incorrectly is if a lot of papers are stacked on top of each other (to speed up the cutting), and its obvious this is the reason for the skew and unprofessional cutting.
If Jetline is unable to cut paper correctly, this service should not be offered. I would not have asked for the papers to be cut had I’d known that ‘guillotine paper cutter and it doesn’t always cut accurately’. How do you cut inaccurately when there are clear crop marks?
To spend R300 for printing and have an unprofessional service is definitely not worth it. I will be returning to Jetline for a refund, because I am unhappy with your services. I will need to purchase paper to reprint and cut my invites, because of your unprofessional work.
